Paperback Verified download. I'm a huge fan of Netbeans and the advocacy done by Geertjan Wielenga but I don't recommend this book.
The material is too broad and the coverage too shallow. I use Netbeans on a daily basis and sometimes do this exact kind of work.
I'm actually surprised "Netbeans" isn't somewhere in the title. The writing is clear and concise. There is a surprising amount of background and description of the technologies. There are a large number of screenshots and short code listings. If you've never done web development and you've already decided on the Netbeans platform and you want to try out some samples before really getting your hands dirty this might be the place to start.
But, If you are the side of novice, this book is too condensed to study. It have just pages.
