He decided to base his story on a radical idea that all Gods were once human beings; it was their deeds in the human life that made them famous as Gods. Ultimately when his agent decided to publish the book himself, Tripathi embarked on a promotional campaign. Ultimately, when the book was published in February , it went on to become a huge commercial success. It had to be reprinted a number of times to keep up with the demand. Tripathi even changed his publisher and hosted a big launch for the book in Delhi.
Or this mysterious plague that seems to affect them, nothing is mentioned as to what it is or why it is happening or how it started and it is never brought up again after that chapter. Sati annoyed me a bit in this book.
Anandamayi, however, was a delight to read about. I couldn't help but grin every time that feisty, saucy girl sauntered onto the page!
The author often uses the story to put forth his opinion on many issues - like Karma, ethics, consequentialism, existentialism and the balance of Good and Evil. Though it is clearly intended to make you think, sometimes it does get a bit too much. I get that the author has tried to give the story as modern a take as possible, but I can't quite digest the fact that these people know of "radio waves" and "accumulator machines" OR that they say things like "You're a year old virgin??
Just me? It had to be reprinted a number of times to keep up with the demand.
Tripathi even changed his publisher and hosted a big launch for the book in Delhi. It was critically appreciated by some Indian reviewers, others noted that Tripathi's writing tended to lose focus at some parts of the story.
Later Shiva takes his troop of soldiers and travels far east to the land of Branga, where he wishes to find a clue to reach the Naga people. Shiva also learns that Sati's first child is still alive, as well as her twin sister.
He relied on his knowledge of geography and history to expand the locations visited in the story.
The book was released on 12 August , and was published by Westland Press. Before its release, the author confessed that many revelations would be present in the book, including the true nature of many characters.
His archenemy seems to be winning every encounter. But then, neither are the Suryavanshis. So who or what is evil?
And who is the mysterious Naga that stalks his family? What does he want? What is The Secret of the Nagas? Amish does not disappoint.
